Abel Peter Aquino III

Abel Peter Aquino III is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools and college educated in California where he majored in graphic design. Returning to Kona after over a decade of corporate design, Abel is known for his innovative eye and deep respect for his culture. His art blends contemporary design with traditional heritage, creating works that resonate with both community and client needs. His work has earned recognition for its creativity, precision and storytelling power.

 

His roots in Kona continue to inspire his craft. An avid waterman, Abel enjoys surfing, shing and teaching his young daughter his water ways with a gentle and loving hand. Abel donates his time as the County of Hawaii Game Management Advisory Commissioner for District 7, protecting wildlife, environment and Native Hawaiian gathering rights. He also volunteers his time at the Hawaii Island Humane Society and has proudly served on Na Pea since 2015.
